Tie Sales Opportunities to a Project

Atlas allows you to tie Sales Opportunities to a Project, if the generation of Revenue related to sales efforts should be connected to a Project you are managing. Tying these items together can be helpful if you are using a Project to track the logistics of a fundraising effort or a large revenue-generating event.

To connect Sales Opportunities to a Project, the Project must already be built in Atlas. Click here to learn about creating a Project.

Follow these steps to tie a Sales Opportunity to a Project:

  1. Open the Sales Opportunity you want to tie to a Project. You can do this either by going to Contacts > Select Sales Opportunities, or by going to the Contacts tab of a Profile Record. The Edit Sales/Lead Opportunity will open.
  2. If you need a new Sales Opportunity, go to Contacts > Create Sales Opportunity. The Add Sales Opportunity Window will open. Configure the Sales opportunity and click Save, which will open more tabs on the Sales Opportunity.
  3. Click the Project tab.
  4. Select the Project you want to tie this Sales Opportunity to from the drop-down menu.
  5. Click Save.
